What is a satellite extender?

Modified on Thu, 25 Jul at 12:50 PM

A satellite extender is a portable device that can be used with the SolusGuard app to provide limited internet access when there is no cell service. Like the Wearable Panic Buttons, the satellite extender is a Bluetooth device that connects to your phone through the SolusGuard app. Once connected to a satellite extender, users can chat, run check-in sessions and send emergency alerts as needed through the SolusGuard app.

Some sections of the app, like the Contacts and Profile pages, are intentionally unavailable when satellite functionality is enabled within the SolusGuard app. This is to conserve internet connection for the app's key alert functionalities.
