How do I connect to a Solara Flare satellite extender?

Modified on Mon, 30 Sep at 11:55 AM

The Solara Flare satellite extender connects to your phone through the SolusGuard mobile app. Before connecting to the satellite extender, you must ensure that it is powered on. The Flare is a Bluetooth device, so you must also ensure that your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.

To connect to the satellite extender:

  1. Open the flap on the bottom of the Flare, then press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds. All five indicator lights will flash green once to indicate that it is turning on.
  2. Then, from the settings menu in the SolusGuard app, tap on Satellite Connection.
  3. Tap on the toggle switch in the app to enable satellite capabilities. The Flare will automatically connect to your phone via Bluetooth.

Prior to connecting, you will see the following status in the SolusGuard mobile app:

  • Searching for satellite device

Once the Flare has connected to your phone you'll see:

  • Satellite Singal Low = no satellite signal currently available
  • 1-5 Bars = satellite signal currently available
