Deactivating Live Voicemail - iPhone Only

Modified on Mon, 2 Feb at 4:12 PM

Live Voicemail is an iPhone feature that automatically answers incoming calls so voicemails can be recorded and transcribed in real time.

The Problem:

When Live Voicemail is enabled, the iPhone ‘answers’ a call automatically without user interaction. This marks the call as connected even though it wasn’t picked up. As a result, SolusGuard interprets the call as answered and cancels the alert.

Why This Matters:

Escalation procedures are designed to continue until a real person is reached. Live Voicemail creates a false confirmation of contact that interrupts this process. To ensure alerts function as designed, Live Voicemail must be turned off on any iPhone using SolusGuard.

How to Deactivate Live Voicemail:

1) Open phone settings

2) Scroll down and tap on “Apps”

3) Scroll down and tap on “Phone”

4) Scroll down and tap on “Live Voicemail”

5) Flip the switch off (it should be grey once deactivated)
